LifeFlight Appreciation Day

Northern Maine Medical Center, Fort Kent, ME

Join us between 11am and 2pm to learn about Maine's non-profit, nationally recognized emergency helicopter service. Hear patient stories, meet the crew, tour the helicopter and enjoy a BBQ lunch courtesy of Northern Maine Medical Center.
Each year, a number of residents in the St. John Valley become critically ill or injured and need highly specialized emergency medical care. On September 8, NMMC and the Fort Kent community are hosting a special event to celebrate the patients who have benefitted from the essential service LifeFlight provides.

Everyone is welcome to this free community event.

LifeFlight is a non-profit organization that depends on private donations to ensure everyone in Maine has access to emergency healthcare when they need it most. To date, nearly 14,000 patients have been safely transported since the helicopter service began operations in 1998, including more than 350 patients from the St. John Valley.
