LifeFlight Foundation Hosts Forum to Help Partner Agencies Brainstorm Fundraising Ideas

More than 20 Maine Emergency Medical Services personnel attended the Rising Tide Non-Profit EMS Sustainability Roundtable Conference on Friday, May 31, 2013. The LifeFlight Foundation hosted the all-day conference for nonprofit and small municipal agencies to discuss town governance and current funding concerns; as well as brainstorm effective ways to raise funds, increase retention and other topics.

An update to LifeFlight's precautionary landing in Cumberland

A LifeFlight helicopter returning to a Lewiston hospital on the 17th of April made a precautionary landing in a field off Winn and Cross Roads in Cumberland. There were no patients on board, and the pilot elected to make the unscheduled landing as a safety precaution after a master caution light illuminated indicating a problem with an engine. The landing was made without incident and there was no damage to the helicopter.

Local salon raises more than $4,500 for LifeFlight at its unique charity hair show

The L Factor, a hair salon in Brewer owned and operated by Gina Leonard and Jodi Leighton, held its 7th annual charity hair show on March 2 at Jeff’s Catering. This year, proceeds from the show totaling more than $4,500 were donated to the LifeFlight Foundation.
