Most people who need emergency medical care can be appropriately transported by ground ambulance. The sickest patients, however, need the critical care and speed that LifeFlight provides.
LifeFlight’s vision for Maine is a place in which every person, in every community, has access to critical care and medical transport when they need it.
We do this by working with our EMS partners to transform the critical care transport medicine system into an integrated, high quality, patient-centered system worthy of the public’s trust.
Meet the Team
LifeFlight of Maine’s most valuable assets are people. The people who provide critical care and compassion; the people who fly the aircraft safely; the people who answer the calls for assistance and take care of the logistical details; the people who work behind the scenes to help build a safe and reliable system to ensure everyone in Maine has access to the critical healthcare they need, when they need it.
The Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that provides fundraising and public relations support to LifeFlight of Maine. Supported by the generosity of the many friends of LifeFlight, the Foundation raises funds for aircraft, medical equipment, hospital helipads, statewide aviation improvements and the many educational outreach programs offered by the LifeFlight crew.
