What a great crew of care givers! I often hear the helicopter flying over my house and I find myself saying a little prayer for whoever is on board. I had the opportunity to meet some of the crew at a community event this summer and was really impressed with their kind and helpful attitude. Thanks for everything you do!

My dad, an independent Maine lobsterman, hates to admit when he needs help. So when he started having chest pains on his boat it’s a miracle that he even called for help. But he did, and the local EMS guys had the LifeFlight helicopter standing by at the dock at just about the time my dad got back to shore. The doctors said it was because of the quick response that Dad recovered so fast. Within a couple of weeks he was back out on his boat. I don’t know what he would have done if LifeFlight hadn’t been there.

Last winter, my husband and I were enjoying a beautiful day on the ski slopes when he had a bad fall. The ski patrol got him down off the mountain and into the clinic, but then things went from bad to worse. It turns out he was having a heart attack and needed to get to a cardiac center as soon as possible. Since we were probably more than 2 hours away LifeFlight flew over to pick him up. Everything worked out fine, but those first few hours were the scariest moments of my life. Thank the lord LifeFlight got him to the hospital as quickly as they did.

It’s scary to be sick and suddenly surrounded by tubes and machines but when the LifeFlight crew arrived they had a very calming effect on me. They took good care of me and helped get me where I needed to be.

When my toddler was seriously hurt on our family farm I was terrified she wouldn’t get help in time. Thanks to the quick thinking of the local ambulance crew, the LifeFlight helicopter had landed in a nearby field before I even knew what was happening. She had a serious head injury but the doctors were able to operate in time to avoid any long lasting damage. She is already back to her old mischievous self.
