LifeFlight of Maine Blood Drive
LifeFlight of Maine and the American Red Cross are hosting a blood drive on Friday, December 16 from 11am to 5pm at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. You can make a difference for patients who need blood—patients who are fighting cancer or patients who have suffered serious trauma.
For patients like Kinzie, who require ongoing blood therapy for acute treatments, the need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood at some point in our lifetime.
LifeFlight of Maine is the only emergency medical service that carries two units of type O negative blood (universal donor blood) for treating severely ill or injured patients across the state.
Make your appointment today for the LifeFlight blood drive (use sponsor code: Lifeflight).
