Islesboro Crossing raises $400,000 for replacement helicopters
The 7th annual Islesboro Crossing for LifeFlight took place on Sunday, August 18 with 144 swimmers making their way three miles across Penobscot Bay to the island community of Islesboro. They were each accompanied by a safety paddler and together they raised $400,000 which will help purchase new emergency medical helicopters for the people of Maine.
LifeFlight's annual golf outing nets $22,000 for critical care training
It was a beautiful day for golf on June 17 when 140 golfers gathered at Martindale Country Club in Auburn for what might have been LifeFlight’s biggest golf tournament yet. After a final tally, the event raised more than $22,000! All of these funds are earmarked for crew education, training and professional development.

‘The Future of Nursing’ Conference a Success
On March 23rd Northern Maine Community College’s Student Nurses’ Association (SNA) hosted their first conference focused on the future of nursing in Aroostook County and drew a crowd of near 80 students to the E. Perrin Edmunds Conference Center on the NMCC campus.
