The Port Clyde- and Rockland-based business cites LifeFlight’s dedication to excellence, emergency readiness and proven success as reasons why Bean has chosen this holiday season to make a significant gift and inspire others to do the same.
Swimmers from near and far raise more than $110,000 to support LifeFlight in Islesboro Crossing’s sophomore year
Sixty open water swimmers braved the chilly Atlantic last Saturday to swim the 3.1-mile channel from Lincolnville to Islesboro in the 2nd annual Islesboro Crossing for LifeFlight. Each swimmer had spent the weeks and months leading up to the event gathering pledges from friends and family to raise money for LifeFlight to purchase advanced medical equipment and aircraft. These dedicated athletes raised more than $110,000, quadrupling the amount raised in the event’s first year.

The Fort Kent Lions Club announces the publication of a unique calendar to raise money for LifeFlight, the University of Maine at Fort Kent Foundation, and others. The organization has set a goal of $70,000 for this year's publication.
