Bean match campaign results in $3 million for LifeFlight

LifeFlight is pleased to announce that the 2019 Linda and Diana Bean fundraising challenge match was an unqualified success, reaching its $1.5 million goal much earlier than expected, thanks to an outpouring of gifts made by hundreds of donors – some loyal friends who have supported us for years, but many more who were inspired to give for the first time.

LifeFlight of Maine earns high marks during re-accreditation process

LifeFlight of Maine recently learned that the organization has received full re-accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS).

LifeFlight’s Thomas Judge recognized for his longtime dedication to emergency medical services in Maine and beyond

LifeFlight of Maine’s founding Executive Director, Thomas Judge, was recently recognized by Atlantic Partners EMS with a Hall of Fame award. The award honored Tom’s decades of service to the field of emergency medical services and the state of Maine.

Public Notice of Accreditation

The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems will conduct an accreditation site visit of:
LifeFlight of Maine on September 30 and October 1, 2019  

The purpose of the site visit will be to evaluate the program’s compliance with nationally established medical transport standards. The site visit results will be used to determine whether, and the conditions under which accreditation should be awarded to the program.

Islesboro Crossing raises $400,000 for replacement helicopters

The 7th annual Islesboro Crossing for LifeFlight took place on Sunday, August 18 with 144 swimmers making their way three miles across Penobscot Bay to the island community of Islesboro. They were each accompanied by a safety paddler and together they raised $400,000 which will help purchase new emergency medical helicopters for the people of Maine.
